This morning Congressman Barrett received the following note of thanks from Congressman Joe Wilson:

Dear Gresham,

I just wanted to drop you a note and say thanks for everything you’ve done the past couple weeks. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your willingness to immediately stand up for me in the heat of battle.

Specifically, I want to thank you for writing the President and urging him to live up to his word by calling on his Democratic colleagues to end their attacks. I also want to express my gratitude to you for both your public and private statements of support during these past few weeks.

You and I have stood shoulder-to-shoulder in the conservative cause. Together, we fought the administration’s massive stimulus package. Together, we took on the excessive spending in Washington and together, we have worked to bring about the real health care reform our hard-working families deserve.

Thanks again for your support and I look forward to working with you in future.
