As I’ve been in Washington this past week fighting the government take-over of our healthcare system and the irresponsible, ill-conceived spending spree undertaken by the Democrats, I’ve found myself proud. Not of the House of Representatives, not of our government, but of our citizens. Echoing the spirit our great country was founded upon, people across the nation refused to sit on the sidelines while their money is being wasted by an overbearing federal government.
They see the consequences of this legislation. And so do I.
It is clear that the Democrats in Washington refuse to listen to the will of the people – the hard-working citizens who are the foundation of our country.
Now it is time to take action.
I’m convinced if we are going to take back this country, we are going to do it one state at a time. With your help, South Carolina can lead the way. We can be a leader in economic growth by focusing on fiscal responsibility, not federal regulation. We can create the jobs of tomorrow by easing the tax burden on our businesses today, and not stifling their entrepreneurial spirit.
These aren’t just campaign sound bites. They are my fundamental beliefs. Leading with common-sense conservative principles, we can take South Carolina where it has never been before.

Our next problem is a s important as the health care fiasco. The illegal alien problem as well as the 401 K takeover by SEIU. Any thoughts on these two things?
