COLUMBIA, SC – Today, the Barrett for Governor campaign launched its fifth television ad, entitled, “What Leaders Do.” The new spot is a response to the numerous misleading attacks launched by shadowy third party groups and opponents of Gresham Barrett.
“Gresham’s record has been distorted, manipulated and misrepresented for months by his opponents and third party attack groups,” said Luke Byars, Barrett for Governor Campaign Manager. “Gresham felt strongly that it was time to set the record straight, and that’s exactly what this new ad does.”
The ad began airing last night and will be running statewide. The script and viewing link are provided below.

GRESHAM BARRETT: I’m proud of my conservative record. Only one other member of Congress has voted more against the Obama spending spree.
CHYRON: Gresham Barrett Voted Against: Obama’s Stimulus Spending Bill, Obama’s Auto Bailout, Obama’s Health Care Takeover, Every Obama Budget
BARRETT: But, I honestly believe with all my heart that we were at a point where men and women were going to reach in their back pocket and pull out a credit card or an ATM card, stick it in a machine and nothing was going to come out.
