COLUMBIA, SC – Since the race for Governor of South Carolina kicked off, Gresham Barrett has led the pack in fundraising, and today with little more than three months before the Primary, he became the first candidate to announce that he has assembled a full campaign staff – giving him an organizational advantage over the competition.

“We are very proud of our campaign team,” said Luke Byars, Campaign Manager. “The caliber of our staff speaks volumes about the quality of our candidate and his plan for putting South Carolina back to work. Each one of us is passionate about making certain Gresham Barrett is our next Governor – not because it is our job – but because we believe in him and what he stands for.”

Serving as Deputy Campaign Manager is Anderson County native Lori Jones Raad. Lori has worked on numerous state and local campaigns, was Deputy Political Director under former Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman and served in the White House as Associate Political Director. Raad will oversee an aggressive team of field representatives who will focus on building Barrett’s grassroots organization across the Palmetto State and spreading his vision for job creation.

“Gresham Barrett is the right candidate at the right time,” said Raad. “Our mission is simple; making sure voters across South Carolina get to know Gresham Barrett, his proven record of conservative leadership and his vision to create jobs and grow our economy. And I am confident we have the team to make it happen.”

Rounding out the campaign’s senior staff are Drea Byars, Finance Director, a proven national and state campaign fundraiser from Lexington who has helped raised over $2 million for Barrett in this race alone, and Communications Director, Greenville native B.J. Boling, veteran of numerous legislative races and former South Carolina Communications Director of John McCain’s successful primary campaign.

Barrett remarked on the quality of his campaign staff saying, “We’ve put together a top-notch team of political professionals. I am honored and humbled by their commitment, and I know that together our efforts will prove successful on Election Day.”

Additional Campaign Staff
